About The Position
Buff City Soap is hiring a seasonal, part-time Soap Maker / Retail Associate. The role combines product production with retail customer service in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. Team members engage with clients, understand their needs, recommend products, maintain sales requirements, and help keep production and retail areas clean. The seasonal position typically runs through late December. The role may require working independently during shifts as business needs require.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills and knowledge.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and engage professionally with clients.
- Ability to build relationships with clients, understand their needs, and recommend products.
- Ability to maintain minimum sales requirements.
- Ability to multitask between production and customer service.
- Ability to work cohesively with a team and follow company policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Must not be sensitive to various scents and fragrances.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers.
- Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, twist, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Ability to perform cleaning functions, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional, excellent customer service and ensure clients' needs are met.
- Engage with clients, build relationships, understand their needs, and make product recommendations.
- Maintain the minimum sales requirements.
- Multitask between product production and serving clients as they arrive and leave.
- Help maintain cleanliness in the Makery, including production and retail areas.
- Work cohesively with the team in an upbeat, fast-paced environment while following company policies and procedures.
- Perform Makery cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
