About The Position

Buff City Soap is hiring a seasonal Soap Maker / Retail Associate. The position typically runs through late December. The role combines product production with retail customer service in a fast-paced, upbeat team environment. Associates help clients find suitable products, maintain sales requirements, assist with Makery cleanliness, and follow company policies and procedures. The role may require working independently during a shift as business needs require.

Requirements

Basic computer skills and knowledge.
Ability to provide excellent customer service and engage appropriately with clients.
Ability to make product recommendations and meet minimum sales requirements.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to work well with a team and independently as needed.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Must not be sensitive to various scents and fragrances.
Dexterity of hands and fingers.
Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes up to 50 pounds.
Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, twist, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Ability to perform cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.

Responsibilities

Provide professional customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met.
Build relationships with clients and understand and meet their needs.
Recommend products to clients.
Maintain minimum sales requirements.
Multitask between product production and engaging clients as they arrive and leave.
Help maintain cleanliness in production and retail areas of the Makery.
Work cohesively with the team in an upbeat, fast-paced environment while following company policies and procedures.
Work independently and alone during shifts when business needs require.
