About The Position

Buff City Soap is hiring a seasonal, part-time Soap Maker / Retail Associate. The position typically runs through late December and combines product production with retail customer service in a fast-paced, upbeat Makery. The associate helps clients professionally, learns their needs, recommends products, and works toward minimum sales requirements while contributing to production and keeping production and retail areas clean. The role may require working independently during shifts as business needs require.

Requirements

Basic computer skills and knowledge.
Ability to provide professional customer service and engage with clients effectively.
Ability to make product recommendations and meet minimum sales requirements.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work cohesively with a team and follow company policies and procedures.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Must not be sensitive to various scents and fragrances.
Dexterity of hands and fingers.
Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes up to 50 pounds.
Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, twist, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Ability to perform cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent, professional customer service and meet clients’ needs.
Engage with clients, build relationships, understand their needs, and recommend products.
Maintain the minimum sales requirements.
Multi-task between product production and assisting clients as they arrive and leave.
Help maintain cleanliness in the Makery’s production and retail areas, including cleaning tasks.
Work cohesively with the team in an upbeat, fast-paced environment while following company policies and procedures.
Work independently and alone during shifts when business needs require.
