About The Position

The Snowsports Discovery Center Supervisor oversees on-hill operations for daily and school group lessons under the direction of the Snowsports Manager. The role supports organizing group lessons, checking participants in and out, communicating with instructors and parents, and ensuring the safety of everyone involved. Supervisors may occasionally teach lessons based on departmental needs.

The Supervisor trains and mentors instructors by modeling compliance with policies and procedures, remaining approachable, and sharing knowledge with coworkers. Pre-season training includes an online meeting covering mountain policies and procedures and supervisor training.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience supervising or managing programs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Ability to ski and/or snowboard at an advanced level.
• Ability to bend and ski while carrying up to 50 pounds of various equipment.
• Ability to work for extended periods outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must work weekends and holidays.
• Must own appropriate ski or snowboard gear.
• Must have reliable transportation for inclement-weather circumstances.

Nice To Haves

• PSIA or USSS credentials preferred.

• Occasionally teach lessons based on the needs of the Snowsports Department.
• Attend pre-season training, including an online meeting about mountain policies and procedures and supervisor training.
