About The Position
This is a seasonal position responsible for making quality snow in the highest volumes possible. Responsibilities include understanding and operating the snowmaking system, including its operations and maintenance, and operating department equipment and tools. Higher levels involve training other snowmakers, maintaining equipment records, and potentially assuming foreman responsibilities in their absence.
Requirements
- Able to perform in severe or inclement outdoor conditions for sustained periods
- Able to lift 75 lbs
- Must have a valid US Driver's license
- Must be a proficient skier/rider
- High School or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- May require the use of a mountain radio/walkie-talkies for communication
Responsibilities
- Making quality snow in the highest volumes possible
- Knowing and understanding the snowmaking system, both operations and maintenance
- Operating and maintaining department equipment and tools
- Providing training and assistance to Level I Snowmakers (Level 2 & 3)
- Maintaining all department equipment and record keeping (Level 3)
- Assuming Foreman and/or controller responsibilities in their absence (Level 3)
