About The Position

The Snow Reporter’s primary responsibility is to provide daily snow conditions and operational messaging to guests and employees. This includes creating and distributing the daily snow and weather report, writing and recording messages, and assisting the social media team. The Snow Reporter also supports the Marketing Team with internal and external marketing campaigns, strategies, events, and general mountain information. The position supports the guest service team by providing relevant resort information and may assist with product sales, lift tickets, season passes, and lessons.

Requirements

College degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or journalism.
At least one year of experience in public relations, communications, or media relations.
Basic knowledge of online programming and social media.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Availability to work flexible hours, including very early mornings with a 5:30 AM daily start time, and some weekends and holidays.
Strong writing skills.
Intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of ski area operations and the resort industry.
