About The Position

Destination Geneva National is hiring for its seasonal, on-call Snow Removal Team. Team members clear snow and ice from the Clubhouse and hotel lots, walkways, and select homes in the Geneva National Community, working alongside the Grounds crew. The work is entirely outdoors in cold, snowy, and icy conditions and may require responding to call-outs on short notice, including during early morning or late-night hours. Duties involve using snow blowers, shovels, and ice-melting products, and require physical strength and stamina.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and efficiently in cold, challenging conditions.
• Reliable transportation to respond promptly to on-call requests.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate snow blowers and shovels for extended periods.
• Comfort working outdoors in cold, snowy, and icy conditions.
• Ability to bend, lift, and walk frequently.
• Sufficient stamina and physical strength to complete demanding tasks in adverse weather.

Responsibilities

• Use snow blowers, shovels, and ice-melting products to clear snow and ice from assigned areas.
• Keep walkways, entrances, and driveways clear and safe.
• Follow safety procedures and use proper gear to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Maintain and properly store snow removal equipment and tools.
• Communicate additional safety hazards, such as ice patches, that need further treatment.
• Remain available to respond to snow-removal call-outs, often on short notice and during early morning or late-night hours.
