About The Position

As an on-call snow removal employee, you will be responsible for promptly and efficiently removing snow after snowfall to help ensure the safety of pedestrians and vehicles. You will remain on standby during the winter months and be called upon as needed to shovel, plow, and salt designated areas. The work may occur early in the morning, at night, on weekends, and on holidays, particularly after snowfalls and during icy conditions.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and auto insurance.
• Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.
• Must be available on notice in the event of snow and/or ice.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual labor for extended periods.
• Ability to tolerate cold and adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Clear snow from sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and other assigned areas using shovels, snow blowers, and plows.
• Apply salt, sand, or other materials to icy surfaces to help prevent slips and accidents.
• Remain available on-call during specified hours, particularly after snowfalls and during icy conditions.
• Respond quickly to calls for snow removal, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
