About The Position

Recall.ai is seeking an SMB Sales Manager to lead and expand its Velocity/SMB segment. This role involves coaching and developing a team of Account Executives focused on helping fast-growing companies integrate Recall.ai into their product and engineering workflows. The manager will be responsible for building a high-performing, operationally excellent team capable of managing a large volume of opportunities and maintaining strong pipeline coverage. Initially, the manager will oversee 2 Account Executives and carry a partial sales quota for 3-6 months to gain proficiency with Recall.ai's products. The company operates in-office in San Francisco, California. Recall.ai's mission is to simplify working with conversation data for developers, offering a unified API to capture transcripts, recordings, and metadata from various meeting platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet. Founded in 2022, Recall.ai is well-funded, rapidly growing, and serves over 2,000 companies, including industry leaders. The company is a small team (less than 30 people) with high expectations, focusing on challenging problems and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 4+ years selling a technical product; developer or engineering sales experience strongly preferred
  • 1+ years successfully managing a high-performing sales team
  • A track record of coaching AEs to consistently hit and exceed quota in a high-velocity environment
  • Experience working at a startup with fewer than 50 people
  • At least 2+ years of tenure at one company, not a series of short stints
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to develop both early and mid-career AEs
  • Ability to understand, pitch, and demo Recall.ai's products
  • Experience standing up outbound motions, or working closely with BDR/SDR teams, with clear opinions on how it should be run today
  • Strong judgment and adaptability; thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Responsibilities

  • Report to the VP of Sales and manage a team of up to 7 Velocity/SMB Account Executives (starting with 2)
  • Carry a partial quota for 1-2 quarters
  • Drive, manage, and execute the business and revenue of your team
  • Coach AEs to run disciplined discovery, deliver compelling product demos, manage active pipeline, and close net-new and expansion opportunities with fast-growing companies
  • Partner with Marketing to convert inbound demand into qualified opportunities and maintain strong pipeline coverage
  • Work with RevOps to target high-fit ICP outbound accounts
  • Build and improve processes for AE onboarding and ramping
  • Identify patterns across customer conversations and funnel data to continuously refine messaging, segmentation, and sales playbooks
  • Regularly (every week) coach AEs and build a collaborative environment where your team can thrive, learn, and grow
