About The Position

The Slot Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs of slot machines, with infrequent assistance. This role requires extensive knowledge of both mechanical and electronic aspects of slot machine repair and may involve providing training or assistance to less experienced technicians. The Slot Technician will analyze and respond to a variety of customer service related issues, and is responsible for the repair and maintenance of component level electronic circuitry in gaming devices, as well as the installation and removal of gaming devices. Daily tasks include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting ticket-in/ticket-out and coin machines, clearing coin and bill jams, assisting with game conversions and firmware upgrades, investigating ticket issues, maintaining inventory, and calibrating currency validators. The role also involves executing machine moves, game conversions, installations, and floor upgrades. Additionally, the technician is responsible for investigating device malfunctions, performing repairs and preventative maintenance on all slot machines, cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces, and adhering to all Indiana Gaming Regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Electronic background or minimum two-year experience in slot operations.
  • Two (2) or more years’ experience in the Gaming Industry or an equivalent customer service environment.
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
  • Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of electronics at the circuit board level.
  • Knowledge of technical experience and training with slots.
  • Knowledge of electronic and computer programming.
  • Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience.
  • Ability to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.

Responsibilities
