About The Position

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Slot Technician I to maintain and repair electronic gaming machines and related equipment in Kenner, United States. The role involves responding to floor calls, troubleshooting machine faults, carrying out scheduled maintenance, and following safety protocols and gaming regulations. The technician documents maintenance and repairs, keeps current with new products and equipment updates, and collaborates with team members to support gaming floor operations.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Demonstrated proficiency in safely using hand tools and power tools.
Basic understanding of electronic and mechanical systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and documentation.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain required gaming licenses and certifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
Ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Ability to push, pull, and maneuver up to 80 pounds.
Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment.

Nice To Haves

One year of slot machine maintenance or related technical experience preferred.
Graduate of a slot repair school or equivalent technical program preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electronic gaming machines and related equipment.
Respond to and resolve floor calls efficiently and independently.
Execute immediate, periodic, and overhaul maintenance procedures.
Conduct basic troubleshooting and diagnose common machine faults.
Identify electronic issues at the board level and escalate complex problems appropriately.
Read and interpret technical documentation and repair manuals.
Operate two-way radio systems for effective communication.
Stay current with new slot products and equipment updates.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance and repair activities.
Follow established safety protocols and gaming regulations.
Collaborate with team members to support optimal gaming floor operations.
