Slot Service Specialist/Dual Rate Slot Supervisor
About The Position
This position involves providing exceptional guest service and prompt response to guests' needs on the casino floor. The role requires maintaining a positive attitude, adhering to company policies, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Team members are expected to stay informed about the department and property, and to work collaboratively with the Slot Leadership Team. This is a uniformed position, requiring compliance with appearance standards. The role also involves strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Responsibilities include providing cash handling services, managing assigned casino funds, responding to slot machine service calls, and assisting patrons with change and other needs. Additionally, the position requires ensuring slot machines are operating correctly, performing minor repairs, and assisting guests with general inquiries. Compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures is mandatory. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand for a minimum eight (8) hour shifts.
- Must be able to work for extended periods of time in an environment that is typically crowded, noisy and smoky.
- Must be able to work in, and provide Guest Service in an environment where alcohol consumption is prevalent.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license within assigned state of employment and other jurisdictions.
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening.
- Must be 21 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Provide cash handling service to casino patrons in assigned areas of the Casino Floor.
- Responsible for assigned casino funds and proper handling of funds exchanges.
- Respond to change lights on slot machines and service calls from Dispatch.
- Help all customers needing change or other assistance.
- Notify appropriate Ameristar staff members to render assistance outside the scope of responsibilities.
- Ensure slot machines are operating properly and all procedures are executed according to company policy.
- Perform minor slot machine repairs not requiring a Slot Technician.
- Assist casino patrons with general questions concerning the Casino.
- Comply with all Company and departmental policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Provide representation of department in specific project and company meetings.
