About The Position

Are you looking for a Sleep Medicine Physician Assistant opportunity? The Los Angeles Center for Ear, Nose, Throat and Allergy (LA CENTA) is a large, private ENT practice with over 18 clinic locations throughout Southern California—and we're continuing to grow. As a Sleep Medicine Physician Assistant, you'll work closely with our Sleep Medicine physicians to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a variety of sleep disorders. This role focuses on CPAP therapy management, patient education, treatment optimization, and long-term follow-up. You'll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients while helping them achieve better sleep and improved overall health. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university PA Program required
  • Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of California
  • National Certification with NCCPA
  • Thoroughness, Clinical Skills, Physiological Knowledge, Bedside Manner, Infection Control, Administering Medication, Pain Management, Self-Development

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of ENT experience preferred
  • Previous experience in Sleep Medicine (preferred but not required)
  • Previous experience with CPAP ( preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients with suspected or diagnosed sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, hypersomnia, and other sleep-related conditions.
  • Review patient histories, perform focused physical examinations, and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Interpret sleep study (polysomnography and home sleep test) results and assist in developing appropriate treatment recommendations.
  • Manage CPAP, BiPAP, and other positive airway pressure therapies, including mask fitting, pressure adjustments, troubleshooting, and compliance monitoring.
  • Review CPAP compliance data and optimize therapy to improve patient adherence and treatment effectiveness.
  • Educate patients on sleep hygiene, CPAP equipment use, treatment expectations, and long-term disease management.
  • Coordinate care with DME providers, sleep technologists, primary care physicians, and other specialists to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record.
  • Promote preventive care and patient wellness through education and ongoing follow-up.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and organizational policies and clinical practice standards.
  • Participate in continuing medical education and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care.
