About The Position

Marquardt of Barrington is seeking automotive technicians at all experience levels, from entry-level technicians and lube technicians to experienced master technicians. The role is based at the dealership’s clean, modern, fully equipped shop in Barrington, Illinois, with steady work throughout the year. Technicians perform vehicle repairs and diagnostics to dealer and factory standards, document their work, and coordinate with Service Advisors. The position offers ongoing factory training, certification opportunities, and potential for professional advancement. The posting states earning potential of up to approximately $120,000 or more per year, depending on experience, certifications, and efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs accurately and efficiently as outlined on repair orders and in accordance with dealer and factory standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special equipment.
• Diagnose and repair customer concerns correctly the first time.
• Clearly document all work performed.
• Communicate diagnoses and repair time frames to the Service Advisor so customers can be kept updated.
• Communicate any additional work needed to the Service Advisor.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
