About The Position

The Skilled Technician performs vehicle maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealership and factory standards. The role builds customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in AutoNation as a caregiver for vehicle safety and reliability. The technician works with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication, documents work on repair orders, keeps current with factory technical bulletins, and participates in factory-sponsored training as appropriate. Success is measured by achieving targeted production and customer satisfaction index goals. AutoNation offers factory training, OEM certification support, and career growth opportunities, including paths to Service Technician, Service Advisor, management, regional, and executive roles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow processes to ensure quality and safety.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record that is maintained.
• Passion for cars and customer service.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as an express or quick-lube technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance work on repair orders efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate regularly with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
