Skilled Construction Laborer
About The Position
ABM is seeking a dependable and experienced Skilled Construction Laborer to support construction operations on active job sites. This role performs a variety of construction support tasks requiring specialized experience, technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The position contributes to project productivity, quality workmanship, and a safe working environment. The schedule is Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Pay is $20–$22 per hour; a specific offer may vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. Requirements
- At least 2 years of construction-related experience.
- Working knowledge of construction practices, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull construction materials and equipment.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating construction equipment.
- Ability to read construction drawings, layouts, or project specifications.
- OSHA training or other construction safety certifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate construction equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Handle materials, including loading and unloading, and provide site logistics support.
- Assist with installation activities and construction layout requirements.
- Prepare and maintain work areas for efficient project execution.
- Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and maintenance tasks as needed.
- Read and follow project specifications, instructions, and safety requirements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment appropriately.
- Support skilled trades and project teams with daily construction activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Identify and report safety hazards, equipment issues, and project concerns.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently while meeting quality standards and project deadlines.
