Site Medical Director - PRN
About The Position
The Site Medical Director oversees medical care at the assigned facility in compliance with company, institutional, NCCHC, and ACA standards. The Director provides direct patient care, supervises clinical staff, and ensures accurate, timely documentation in the EMR or approved formats. The role includes responding to emergency situations, following formulary guidelines, and using in-house resources before making external referrals. Working with the Health Services Administrator, the Director leads quality improvement initiatives, chronic care clinics, and pharmacy oversight. The position also involves liaising with community health providers, consulting with facility professionals, reviewing clinical protocols annually, and contributing to ongoing improvements in patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Graduate of medical school.
- Current medical licensure in the state of employment, maintained throughout employment.
- Current DEA number.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
- Must maintain privileges.
- Must maintain CME requirements for continued medical practice in the state.
- Must reside in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Public Health is preferred.
