About The Position

The Site Medical Director oversees medical care at the assigned facility in compliance with company, institutional, NCCHC, and ACA standards. The Director provides direct patient care, supervises clinical staff, and ensures accurate, timely documentation in the EMR or approved formats. Responsibilities include managing emergency situations, following formulary guidelines, and using in-house resources before making external referrals. In collaboration with the Health Services Administrator, the Director leads quality improvement initiatives, chronic care clinics, and pharmacy oversight. The role also includes liaising with community health providers, reviewing clinical protocols annually, and contributing to continuous improvement in patient outcomes. The position requires 3 hours per week onsite and is available only to people residing in the United States.

Requirements

Graduate of medical school.
Must have and maintain current licensure in the state of employment.
Must maintain a current DEA number.
Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
Must maintain privileges.
Must maintain CME requirements for continued medical practice in the state.
Must reside in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Public Health is preferred.

Responsibilities
