Medical Director PRN
About The Position
The Site Medical Director provides clinical leadership at the assigned facility and ensures compliance with medical standards and regulations. The role delivers direct care, supervises healthcare staff, and coordinates with internal and external healthcare providers. Responsibilities also include clinical documentation, emergency response, treatment planning, formulary compliance, continuous quality improvement, and participation in policy and protocol development. The Medical Director provides oversight of chronic care clinics, pharmacy monitoring, and medical program review.
Requirements
- Graduate of medical school.
- Maintain current licensure in the state of employment.
- Maintain a current DEA number.
- Be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
- Maintain privileges and continuing medical education requirements for continued medical practice in the state.
- Reside in the United States.

- Experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Public Health.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct medical care and document all clinical encounters in compliance with standards.
- Supervise and support healthcare staff and ensure adherence to clinical protocols.
- Oversee chronic care clinics, utilization review, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Maintain clinical oversight and consult on complex medical cases or referrals.
- Coordinate with internal and external healthcare providers.
- Respond to emergencies and support treatment planning and formulary compliance.
- Participate in policy and protocol development, pharmacy monitoring, and medical program review.
