About The Position

Penn State Construction is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to lead field crews in the installation of aluminum composite material (ACM) facade panels, metal work, and architectural finish trims. This role is responsible for directing daily work, leading people, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring field execution is aligned with project requirements. The Site Foreman is the frontline leader on every jobsite setting the daily standard for how work gets done, coordinating with other trades, and delivering the quality and professionalism that PSC is known for on every project.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction finish work required
  • Minimum 3 years in a crew leadership or foreman role required
  • Experience with metal work or architectural finish trim installation required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
  • Ability to lead, manage, and hold a crew accountable in a multi-trade environment
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel regionally; occasional overnight stays required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ACM panels, aluminum facade systems, or architectural building products a plus

Responsibilities

  • Plan & Prepare the Crew for Successful Execution: Set clear daily and weekly expectations for safety, quality, and productivity. Assign work, coordinate crew positioning, and balance tasks across the jobsite. Plan materials, tools, and equipment to ensure the crew is prepared to execute. Coordinate field priorities with the Project Superintendent and project schedule. Look ahead to prevent delays, rework, and jobsite conflicts with other trades.
  • Lead the Crew Through Communication & Accountability: Lead daily huddles and maintain consistent communication with crew members. Keep the crew informed of priorities, drawings, and schedule changes. Work closely with the Project Superintendent and detailing/fabrication teams to ensure accurate installation. Provide coaching, recognition, and corrective action when needed. Promote accountability while maintaining a positive, professional jobsite environment.
  • Maintain Safety, Quality & Workmanship Standards: Ensure ACM panels, metal work, and finish trims are installed to PSC quality standards and project specifications. Verify work aligns with approved blueprints, shop drawings, and installation details. Maintain clean, organized, hazard-free work areas and enforce safety policies without exception. Identify and resolve field issues before they become rework or punch list items. Coordinate with management when issues affect schedule, quality, or crew performance.
  • Track Performance & Support Continuous Improvement: Monitor crew productivity and daily progress against project expectations. Maintain accurate daily reports including production, crew hours, site issues, and photos. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, crew workflow, and installation quality. Support the training and development of crew members on methods, tools, and standards. Share field feedback that improves coordination between installation, fabrication, and project management.
