About The Position

The Site Finance Manager provides financial and operational insight and guidance to enhance performance and process efficiency in a distribution center environment. The role supports accounting, finance, and operational activities, including month-end close, payroll, receivables, payables, warehouse productivity, labor efficiency, throughput reporting, and analysis. It works with customers, site leaders, Finance and HR associates, Accounting and Commercial Finance, and operations personnel. The position may support multiple locations or customers and involves customer discussions about billing, strategy, and budgets, including complex commercial matters. The posting also describes a separate Operational Business Manager (Manager of Asset Management & Pricing) role supporting the Dedicated Transportation equipment fleet; those duties and details are not treated as responsibilities of the Site Finance Manager.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or four years of equivalent work experience.
At least five years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
Logistics industry experience.
Working knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
Advanced accounting knowledge, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Advanced communication and presentation skills, from C-suite to warehouse audiences.
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and work as a team member.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong attention to detail.
Advanced financial skills in budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

Responsibilities

Provide analytical support for accounting and finance activities, including month-end close, payroll, receivables, and payables.
Provide analytical support for operational activities, including warehouse productivity, labor efficiency, and throughput reporting and analysis.
Represent DHL Supply Chain in customer meetings and lead discussions on billing, strategy, and budgets.
Support complex commercial requirements, such as billing parameters, flex budgeting, KPI penalties or incentives, and gain-share or pain-share discussions.
Support sites with multiple locations and/or customers, as needed.
Provide external customers with requested information about items on customer invoices.
Audit vendor payables for accuracy and ensure required approvals are obtained before payment.
Execute daily customer and vendor contract requirements, identify accessorial activity, and ensure necessary documentation is in place.
Work daily with Finance and HR associates, providing support and assistance as needed.
Support the Kronos application and its setup to ensure accurate hourly activity reporting.
Provide analytical support to General Managers, Managers, and Supervisors as needed.
Participate in daily activities that help ensure a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for associates.
Work directly with Accounting and Commercial Finance departments.
Provide ad hoc analytical support to operations personnel across operational areas as requested.
Prepare month-end close accrual and reclass journal entries.
Assist with accounts receivable processing and collections as needed.
Assist with accounts payable processing as needed.
Reconcile purchase orders in support of expense recognition.
Prepare daily and weekly labor analysis reports for operational productivity analysis.
Participate in collecting performance measurements consistent with customer, vendor, and site requirements.
