About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Site Finance Manager to provide financial and operational insight and guidance that enhance performance and process efficiency in a distribution center environment. The role provides analytical support for accounting and finance activities, including month-end close, payroll, receivables, and payables, as well as operational activities such as warehouse productivity, labor efficiency, throughput reporting, and analysis. The manager represents DHL Supply Chain in customer meetings and leads discussions on billing, strategy, and budgets. The role may support sites with multiple locations and/or customers and involves complex commercial matters, including billing parameters, flexible budgeting, KPI penalties and incentives, and gain-share or pain-share arrangements. The Site Finance Manager works closely with Finance, HR, Accounting, Commercial Finance, and operations associates, including General Managers, Managers, and Supervisors. The position also provides support for Kronos setup and accurate hourly activity reporting, performs financial and labor analyses, and helps ensure a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or four years of equivalent work experience.
At least five years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
Logistics industry experience.
Working knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
Advanced accounting knowledge, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Advanced communication and presentation skills, from C-suite audiences to warehouse associates.
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and work as a team player.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong attention to detail.
Advanced financial skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

Responsibilities

Provide analytical support for accounting and finance activities, including month-end close, payroll, receivables, and payables.
Provide analysis and support for operational activities such as warehouse productivity, labor efficiency, and throughput reporting.
Represent DHL Supply Chain in customer meetings and lead discussions on billing, strategy, and budgets.
Provide information to external customers about items on customer invoices.
Audit vendor payables for accuracy and confirm appropriate approvals are obtained before payment.
Execute daily customer and vendor contract requirements, identify accessorial activity, and ensure necessary documentation is maintained.
Work daily with Finance and HR associates, providing support and assistance as needed.
Support the Kronos application and its setup to ensure accurate hourly activity reporting.
Provide analytical support to General Managers, Managers, and Supervisors.
Participate in daily activities that support a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for associates.
Work directly with Accounting and Commercial Finance departments.
Provide ad hoc analytical support to operations personnel as requested.
Prepare month-end close accrual and reclassification journal entries.
Assist with accounts receivable processing and collection as needed.
Assist with accounts payable processing as needed.
Reconcile purchase orders to support expense recognition.
Prepare daily and weekly labor analysis reports for operations productivity analysis.
Participate in collecting performance measurements in accordance with customer, vendor, and site requirements.
