About The Position

AlphaBEST Education is hiring a Site Director for its before- and after-school program for the 2026/2027 school year in Highland Park, Illinois. The role leads a meaningful extended-day program designed to inspire and engage students as they learn beyond the school day. The Site Director manages daily site operations, oversees curriculum implementation, maintains a safe and inclusive environment, ensures licensing compliance, and supports staff, students, and families. The position is part-time, with hours from 6:00–8:00 a.m. and 2:30–6:00 p.m. Pay starts at $22 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required, or ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting of up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Additional education preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in a school-age program or teaching setting preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership and supervision preferred.
• Experience in teaching or classroom leadership, youth programs, or staff supervision and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations, including schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation.
• Oversee and facilitate curriculum implementation, ensuring activities meet program expectations.
• Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards.
• Prioritize child safety and follow procedures.
• Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections.
• Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements.
• Supervise and mentor the site team, provide coaching and feedback, and ensure training requirements are met.
• Represent AlphaBEST professionally at school and community events.
• Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success.
