About The Position

Redwood Waste Solutions, a Waste Connections company, is hiring a safety-conscious Site Attendant in Albion, California. The position is scheduled five days per week, Saturday through Wednesday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with Thursday and Friday off. The stated pay range is $20–$21 per hour, with starting pay of $21 per hour.

The Site Attendant greets and directs customers and employees, helps ensure safe conduct at the center, handles data entry and phone calls as needed, checks incoming waste loads for inappropriate material, and performs cleaning and general upkeep. The role also involves heavy lifting and learning to operate a forklift and bobcat.

Requirements

• Customer service skills and a great attitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand throughout an eight-hour shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment and random drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct customers and employees upon entry to the center.
• Help ensure that customers and employees conduct business safely.
• Perform data entry and answer phones as needed.
• Ensure incoming waste loads are safe and do not contain inappropriate material.
• Clean, sweep, and pressure wash equipment.
• Provide general upkeep of the center.
• Perform heavy lifting of equipment and material.
• Learn to operate a forklift and bobcat.
• Perform other laborer duties as assigned.
