About The Position

The Hilb Group is seeking a motivated and ambitious Signature Elite Assistant to support the Personal Lines Account Manager with account servicing. The assistant serves as a point of contact for insureds, producers, and carriers and provides customer service to internal and external customers. This is an in-office position based at the agency in Uniondale, New York. The role is suited to an organized candidate who can prioritize, work well with a team, and manage tasks in a fast-paced sales environment.

Requirements

• New York Property and Casualty (P&C) Brokers License.
• High school degree.
• Good working knowledge of company operating systems, including Microsoft Word and Outlook, and willingness to learn additional programs as needed.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to keep current with assigned tasks.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Motivation and desire to learn.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

• College education preferred.
• Basic skills in ImageRight, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Personal Lines Account Manager to support account servicing and act as a point of contact for insureds, producers, and carriers.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Process vehicle changes.
• Issue automobile identification cards, insurance binders, certificates of insurance, and evidence of insurance.
• Process policy changes and cancellations.
• Process reinstatements.
• Resolve billing issues.
• Participate as a team member in a fast-paced, growing sales environment that is open to continuous improvement.
