About The Position

SkyRite Sign Co. is seeking a skilled Sign Fabricator-Welder for a full-time position in Lubbock, TX. This role involves MIG welding steel and other metal sign structures, reading and interpreting shop drawings, blueprints, and cut lists, and performing quality welds with consistency, safety, and speed. The ideal candidate will have a steady hand, a common-sense work ethic, and take pride in their welds. This is a great opportunity for experienced MIG welders looking for steady, indoor work where they can build something that lasts.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of MIG welding experience
• Ability to read a tape measure, blueprints, and weld symbols
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Positive attitude and willingness to follow direction
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet insurability requirements

Nice To Haves

• Experience with sheetmetal, fabrication, and painting

Responsibilities

• MIG weld steel (and other metal) sign structures
• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and cut lists
• Measure, prep, and align parts for accurate welding
• Perform quality welds with consistency, safety, and speed
• Keep your tools and area clean, organized, and safe
