About The Position

SkyRite Sign Co. is seeking a skilled Sign Fabricator-Welder for a full-time position in Lubbock, TX. This role is for individuals who are proficient with MIG welding, can accurately read a tape measure, and take pride in their welding work. The company specializes in building custom signs, and this position is crucial for ensuring the structural integrity and longevity of these signs. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a steady hand, and common-sense approach to fabrication, similar to those who grew up in a farm or shop environment where welding was a daily necessity.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of MIG welding experience
• Ability to read a tape measure, blueprints, and weld symbols
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Positive attitude and willingness to follow direction
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet insurability requirements

Nice To Haves

• Experience with sheet metal fabrication
• Experience with painting

Responsibilities

• MIG weld steel and other metal sign structures
• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and cut lists
• Measure, prep, and align parts for accurate welding
• Perform quality welds with consistency, safety, and speed
• Keep tools and work area clean, organized, and safe
