Ben E. Keith Company is hiring a Class A CDL Shuttle Driver to transport loaded trailers from a branch to designated shuttle locations and return empty trailers to the branch for reloading. The role offers stable, full-time employment and is suited to drivers seeking predictable routes and regular time at home. Drivers safely operate commercial vehicles, follow DOT and company regulations, meet scheduled pickup and delivery times, and complete vehicle inspections. They promptly communicate issues, delays, or safety concerns and represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, vendors, and team members. The position requires Double/Triple endorsements and at least one year of experience, a valid Class A CDL, DOT qualification, and compliance with DOT requirements. Candidates must have a good driving record, be able to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background requirements, and safely operate tractors with 28-, 36-, and 48-foot trailers. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, though relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education. The work involves repetitive lifting and moving of items weighing up to 50 pounds, frequently climbing in and out of tractors and trailers, and working in varying weather conditions. Drivers must be able to read route information, product descriptions, and safety documentation and use their hands, arms, shoulders, legs, and feet normally to perform job duties. The fleet uses AI-enabled dash camera technology to recognize safe driving behaviors and provide footage during accident investigations; drivers receive information about the program and sign a consent form during hiring. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; a 401(k) with company match and 100% company-paid profit sharing; paid time off and holidays; and wellness, EAP, and educational assistance. The company describes its environment as collaborative and results-driven and states that it is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer and a VEVRAA Federal Contractor.
