Local Class A CDL Night Shuttle Driver - Doubles
About The Position
The Shuttle Driver delivers loaded trailers to the shuttle depot and returns empty trailers to the branch. The role requires maintaining delivery time windows, promptly communicating problems to a supervisor, and following company safety standards. Drivers represent Ben E. Keith professionally by maintaining a positive attitude and following dress-code and cleanliness standards. Ben E. Keith uses dash cameras with artificial intelligence to recognize safe driving, capture safety events, and improve driver safety performance. Video may also be used to exonerate drivers in accidents. Drivers sign a consent form upon hire acknowledging their understanding.
Requirements
- Good driving record, with no more than one moving violation in the past three years.
- Pass the required drug and physical screening.
- At least one year of DOT driving experience.
- Valid state-issued Class A CDL with Double/Triple Trailer endorsements.
- Ability to operate a single axle with 28-foot, 36-foot, and 48-foot trailers with tandem axle tractors.
- High school diploma or GED; work experience may be substituted for education.
Responsibilities
