About The Position
The Show Runner supports tour and event personnel as requested. Responsibilities include acting as the tour’s daily runner and event assistant, shopping for requested items, picking up and delivering personnel and equipment, providing cost estimates, handling rental vehicles, and settling receipts with the tour before the end of the shift or show. The role may also involve pre-shopping for catering or other needs and performing other assigned duties. The position is part-time at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts and pays $16.00–$19.00 per hour. The posting states that it will remain open until December 31, 2026. The schedule must be flexible and may include nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as long hours based on tour personnel requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and money-handling skills.
- Ability to work long, extensive hours based on tour manager or tour personnel requirements.
- Ability to operate effectively in a multiple-demand environment.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge of the immediate Jacksonville area.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

- Previous work in back-of-house event support.
Responsibilities

- Provide the client with cost estimates for purchases.
- Pick up and return rental vehicles.
- Refill rental vehicles with gas.
- Settle receipts with the tour before the end of the shift or show.
- Pre-shop for catering or other needs as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
