About The Position

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is seeking a full-time Shopkeeper Apprentice for its new Lexington, Kentucky team. The role shares the Shopkeeper’s responsibilities, including accounting, scheduling, inventory and ordering, and human resources functions such as hiring, training, development, and performance management of team members.

Shopkeeper Apprentices report directly to a Shopkeeper. Depending on the location, they may act as second-in-command at a full shop or first-in-command at a lower-volume or lower-complexity location. They receive ongoing training and development from their Shopkeeper to prepare them to support shops in their market and succeed in a future Shopkeeper role. The position involves variable shifts, including opening, closing, and/or weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounting, scheduling, inventory, and ordering responsibilities.
• Perform human resources functions, including hiring, training, developing, and managing the performance of team members.
• Support shop operations as second-in-command at a full shop or first-in-command at a lower-volume or lower-complexity location.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to prepare for supporting shops in the market and future Shopkeeper opportunities.
