Requirements

  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Local candidates within Fort St. John, BC area
  • Valid full class 5 Drivers License (Non GDLs)
  • Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Possess current H2S Alive, 2-day Standard First Aid, and Common Safety Orientations (CSO) safety tickets
  • Able to successfully complete specialized paid training by United Safety

Responsibilities

  • Apply warehousing best practices, including First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory control.
  • Read and interpret job sheets and equipment packages based on client requirements.
  • Use the GAMS inventory system to create shipments, assign equipment to jobs, receive returned equipment, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Maintain knowledge of TDG regulations, including required documentation and proper load securement.
  • Perform cleaning, general maintenance, bump testing, and calibration of gas detection equipment, including 4-head monitors, pump monitors, mesh guard systems, and relay kits.
  • Conduct maintenance, cleaning, and inspection of breathing air systems, including air trailers, bulkers, smart packs, and blinding carts.
  • Perform cleaning, maintenance, and testing of breathing air (BA) equipment, including cylinders, regulators, masks, and reducers for SCBA and SABA units.
  • Follow USL standards for cleaning, completing paperwork, and communicating with the Shop Manager.
  • Complete quarterly facility inspections.
  • Perform snow removal and general yard maintenance as required.
