About The Position

Join Keolis Canada as a Journeyperson Commercial Transport Technician or a senior 4th-year apprentice nearing ticket completion in Fort St. John. Requirements

  • Journeyperson Commercial Transport Technician (Red Seal) OR 4th-year registered Commercial Transport Technician apprentice close to ticket completion
  • Air Brake endorsement
  • Demonstrated competency in brakes, steering, suspension, and preventative maintenance
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with air brake endorsement (maximum 3 demerits)
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and safety-first mindset
  • May consider AST or Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Red Seal with demonstrated commercial / on-road fleet experience, air brake endorsement, and the ability to meet CVIP regulatory requirements (including inspection sign-off where applicable)

Nice To Haves

  • CVIP licence
  • Transit, coach, or fleet maintenance experience
  • Experience with electronic work order / maintenance management systems
  • Class 1, 2, or 3 licence with air endorsement
  • Willingness and eligibility to obtain CVIP, or ability to meet regulatory requirements under supervision during onboarding

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair commercial transport / transit vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools
  • Perform preventative maintenance and CVIP inspections (as qualified and authorized)
  • Operate buses for testing and diagnostics as required
  • Maintain accurate service records and support parts procurement
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians and management to meet shop priorities
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
  • Mentor apprentices and support training and development initiatives
