Requirements

Journeyperson Commercial Transport Technician (Red Seal) OR 4th-year registered Commercial Transport Technician apprentice close to ticket completion
Air Brake endorsement
Demonstrated competency in brakes, steering, suspension, and preventative maintenance
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with air brake endorsement (maximum 3 demerits)
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and safety-first mindset
May consider AST or Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Red Seal with demonstrated commercial / on-road fleet experience, air brake endorsement, and the ability to meet CVIP regulatory requirements (including inspection sign-off where applicable)

Nice To Haves

CVIP licence
Transit, coach, or fleet maintenance experience
Experience with electronic work order / maintenance management systems
Class 1, 2, or 3 licence with air endorsement
Willingness and eligibility to obtain CVIP, or ability to meet regulatory requirements under supervision during onboarding

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair commercial transport / transit vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools
Perform preventative maintenance and CVIP inspections (as qualified and authorized)
Operate buses for testing and diagnostics as required
Maintain accurate service records and support parts procurement
Collaborate with fellow technicians and management to meet shop priorities
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
Mentor apprentices and support training and development initiatives
