About The Position

The Shop Supervisor supports and guides technicians in their career growth through engagement, mentoring, skillset proficiency reviews, and training opportunities. This role builds lasting customer relationships by exploring customer needs and expectations, setting specific measurable goals, and delivering results within the customer’s expected timeframe. The supervisor proactively communicates with associates, managers, and customers regarding repairs, job requirements, and scheduled work.

The role coordinates shop jobs, supports customer service, and helps ensure repairs and operations reflect ProLift Toyota Material Handling’s values, mission, and purpose of “Helping People Carry the Load.”

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of material handling industry experience.
• Basic mechanical experience.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Office 365.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shop jobs with Leads and Technicians.
• Interact with fellow employees, customers, and management in a cooperative, supportive, and courteous manner, projecting a positive image.
• Approve repair estimates for accidental damage and obtain signatures.
• Develop a system for identifying causes of accidental damage; investigate, report, and propose corrective actions.
• Communicate proactively with associates, managers, and customers about repairs, job requirements, and scheduled work.
• Support and guide technicians through engagement, mentoring, skillset proficiency reviews, and training opportunities.
• Explore customer needs and expectations, establish specific measurable goals, and achieve results within the customer’s expected timeframe.
• Act professionally and courteously to exceed customer expectations in presentation and communication.
• Promote ProLift Toyota Material Handling’s values, mission, and purpose of “Helping People Carry the Load.”
