About The Position

TCI Maintenance is hiring an experienced Shop Service Manager to lead maintenance operations across multiple shop locations in Converse, Texas. The manager will support diesel technicians and ensure fleet maintenance is safe, efficient, and compliant. This role focuses on developing employees, improving shop operations, maintaining customer relationships, and delivering dependable service. The schedule is Monday through Friday on the day shift. Annual base salary is $85,000–$95,000, based on experience, with additional quarterly performance incentives.

Requirements

10+ years of diesel technician experience.
5+ years of shop management or maintenance leadership experience.
Proven leadership skills, including experience developing employees and improving operational performance.
Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Working knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
Computer proficiency and experience with maintenance systems.
Ability to hold the team accountable and take a solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

Oversee preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to maximize fleet uptime.
Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
Build customer relationships, communicate clearly, and resolve maintenance concerns.
Recruit, train, mentor, and retain technicians while supporting their professional development.
Oversee budgets, labor productivity, inventory, and operating costs.
Lead safety meetings, provide performance coaching, and improve day-to-day shop practices.
