About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and its crew. Experience is valued but not required; paid training is provided on Take 5’s shop-management standards and services, including oil changes, wiper blade and air filter replacement, tire inflation, and other light maintenance. The role offers a stated compensation range of $43,800 to $72,200 annually, with base pay varying by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Supplemental compensation may include commissions or bonuses. Managers may work up to 55 hours per week on occasion.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
• Basic computer operating skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
• Willingness to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.

• Management or other relevant work experience is valued but not required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
• Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
• Control inventory, including conducting End of Period and End of Year inventory.
• Place product orders and physically restock inventory as necessary.
• Understand shop financials, drive results, and use the budget wisely.
• Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
• Support crew members with oil changes and other automotive services.
• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other automotive services as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service.
