About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and ensure the team follows Take 5 standards. Experience is valued but not required; the company provides paid training in shop management, oil changes, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires, and other light maintenance services. Managers may become accountable for the team's execution of these standards in less than 60 days. The role includes customer service, supporting crew members with automotive services, and overseeing staffing, schedules, payroll, inventory, orders, shop financials, and employee evaluations. The position is located in Ohio. Compensation is $43,800–$72,200 annually; base pay may vary by location, knowledge, skills, and experience, and supplemental pay may include commissions or bonuses. Early access to 50% of earned wages is available through myFlexPay.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit and position safely under cars.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
- Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
- Willingness to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
- Basic computer operating skills.

- Previous management or leadership experience is valued but not required.
- Experience in oil change shops, restaurants, retail, or other businesses may be relevant.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
- Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
- Control inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory.
- Place product orders and physically restock inventory as necessary.
- Understand the shop's financials to drive results and use the budget wisely.
- Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
- Support crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other automotive services.
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other automotive services as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure the crew executes Take 5 standards for oil changes, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires, and other light maintenance services.
