About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and its crew. Experience is valued but not required; paid training is provided in Take 5’s management practices and oil-change and light-maintenance services. Shop Managers are expected to be accountable for the team’s execution of company service standards within 60 days. Experienced managers can earn $55,000 or more per year through base salary and bonus opportunities. The posting also describes earnings of up to $55,000 or more per year.

Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
Must be willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop.
Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
Must have basic computer operating skills.

Responsibilities

Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
Control inventory, including conducting End of Period and End of Year inventory.
Place product orders and physically restock inventory as needed.
Understand the shop’s financials, drive results, and use the budget wisely.
Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
Support crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services.
Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
Provide excellent customer service.
Ensure the team follows Take 5 standards for changing oil, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires, and performing other light maintenance services.
