About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and its crew. Experience is valued but not required; paid training is provided in the Take 5 approach to managing a shop, changing oil, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires, and performing other light maintenance services. The role includes accountability for the team’s execution of Take 5 standards, with that responsibility expected within 60 days. Experienced managers may earn $55,000 or more per year through base salary and bonus opportunities. Assistant Manager and Manager-in-Training opportunities are also mentioned for candidates without experience.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for extended periods.
• Must be willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions when necessary.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop.
• Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
• Must have basic computer operating skills.

Nice To Haves

• Management or leadership experience is valued but not required.
• Experience leading teams in oil change shops, restaurants, retail stores, or other businesses is relevant.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
• Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
• Control inventory, including conducting End of Period and End of Year inventory.
• Place product orders and physically restock inventory as needed.
• Understand the shop’s financials, drive results, and use the budget wisely.
• Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
• Support crew members with oil changes and other auto services.
• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure the team performs oil changes, replaces wiper blades and air filters, fills tires, and carries out other light maintenance services according to Take 5 standards.
