About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and its crew. The company provides paid training in its management practices, oil changes, wiper blade and air filter replacement, tire inflation, and other light maintenance services. Experience is valued but not required; opportunities may also be available as an Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training. Within 60 days, the manager will be accountable for the team’s execution of Take 5 standards for oil changes and other light maintenance services. The role includes people management, scheduling and payroll, inventory control and ordering, financial oversight, employee evaluations, hands-on support with automotive services, and customer service. The position may require working early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion, as well as working in hot or cold weather.
Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
- Able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
- Willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
- Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
- Willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
- Basic computer operating skills.

Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
- Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
- Control inventory, including conducting End of Period and End of Year inventory.
- Place product orders and physically restock inventory as necessary.
- Understand shop financials to drive results and use the budget wisely.
- Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
- Support crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services.
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service.
