About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and its crew. Experience is valued but not required; paid training is provided on managing a shop, changing oil, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires, and performing other light maintenance services. The role may suit experienced managers or candidates new to management, with opportunities to join as an Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training. Within less than 60 days, managers are expected to be accountable for their team’s execution of Take 5 standards. Experienced Shop Managers can earn $55,000 or more per year through base salary and bonus opportunities. Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to safely position oneself under cars.
• Able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
• Willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
• Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
• Willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
• Basic computer operating skills.

• Management or leadership experience is valued but not required.
• Experience in oil change shops, restaurants, retail, or other businesses may be relevant.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
• Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
• Control inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory.
• Place product orders and physically restock inventory as necessary.
• Understand the shop’s financials, drive results, and use the budget wisely.
• Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
• Support crew members with changing oil and performing other auto services.
• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure the crew executes Take 5 standards for oil changes, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires, and other light maintenance services.
