About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and deliver the company’s oil-change and light-maintenance services. Experience is valued but not required; paid training is provided in shop management, oil changes, replacing wiper blades and air filters, tire inflation, and other light maintenance. Within less than 60 days, the manager will be accountable for the team’s execution of Take 5 standards. The posting states that experienced managers can earn $55,000 a year or more through base salary and bonus opportunities, and advertises earnings of up to $55,000+ per year.
Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
- Able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
- Willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions when necessary.
- Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
- Willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
- Basic computer operating skills.

- Management or leadership experience is valued but not required.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
- Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
- Control inventory, including conducting End of Period and End of Year inventory.
- Place product orders and physically restock inventory as needed.
- Understand shop financials, drive results, and use the budget wisely.
- Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
- Support crew members with oil changes and other auto services.
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure the team follows Take 5 standards for oil changes, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires with air, and other light maintenance services.
