About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and ensure the team follows Take 5 standards for oil changes and other light maintenance services. The role includes managing crew members and shop operations, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting hands-on automotive work. Experience is valued but not required; paid training is provided. Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to safely position yourself under cars.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
• Willingness to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
• Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
• Willingness to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
• Basic computer operating skills.

• Management or leadership experience is valued but not required; the company also offers opportunities to join as an Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
• Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
• Control inventory, including conducting End of Period and End of Year inventory.
• Place product orders and physically restock inventory as needed.
• Understand shop financials to drive results and use the budget wisely.
• Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
• Support crew members with changing oil and performing other auto services.
• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service.
