Requirements

Strong knowledge of fabrication, construction methods, and shop operations
Experience operating shear/brake equipment and working with hand tools
Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings
Proven ability to lead teams and drive productivity
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
High attention to detail and organization

Responsibilities

Supervise and direct daily shop operations and workforce activities
Train, coach, and develop production employees
Assign work, manage schedules, and ensure deadlines are met
Collaborate with project managers, sales, and clients to support production needs
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
Serve as a Shop Safety Coordinator and lead by example
Enforce OSHA standards and company safety policies
Conduct safety training, inspections, and audits
Oversee maintenance and proper use of tools and shop equipment
Monitor finished goods and inventory levels
