About The Position

Autos of Chicago is one of the largest independent dealerships in the Chicagoland area, with over 500 vehicles in inventory, a full-service repair facility, and a growing collision center. We're looking for an experienced Shop Foreman to lead our technicians, improve shop productivity, and maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of automotive repair experience.
Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Leadership and team management experience.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a Shop Foreman, Lead Technician, or Master Technician preferred.
ASE Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support automotive technicians throughout the repair process.
Dispatch repair orders efficiently based on technician skill level and workload.
Assist technicians with complex diagnostics and difficult repairs.
Ensure repairs are completed correctly the first time.
Perform final quality control inspections before vehicles are released.
Monitor technician productivity and efficiency.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop.
Coordinate with Service Advisors regarding repair status, delays, and additional repair recommendations.
Help reduce comebacks through proper repair procedures and quality inspections.
Ensure compliance with manufacturer repair procedures and shop policies.
Assist in training and mentoring technicians.
Monitor shop equipment and report maintenance needs.
