About The Position

MSS Solutions, LLC is hiring a Shop Fabricator to assist with shop activities and support mechanics, foremen, and the superintendent in completing projects on time. The role involves reviewing detailed drawings to determine cut lists, fabricating ductwork to order, checking job orders for accuracy and completeness, and operating computer-controlled and shop fabrication equipment. The position requires professional conduct, communication with management and the superintendent, and the ability to work with tools, follow directions, and read and write. The schedule is flexible and may include some weekends.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days and some weekends.
Must present oneself in a professional manner.
Must be able to work with a variety of tools, follow directions, and read and write.
Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
Must be able to meet the physical demands described, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and constant lifting up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of HVAC or construction.
CAD knowledge.

Responsibilities

Assist with general work activities as directed by the shop Supervisor.
Support mechanics, foremen, and the superintendent to complete projects in a timely manner.
Provide quality, productive work without constant reminders.
Communicate with management and the superintendent.
Review detailed drawings to determine cut lists before fabricating duct.
Cut and build ductwork according to orders using metal layout and fabrication equipment.
Check that each job order is accurate and complete.
Enter data into the computer system to burn jobs on the cutting machine.
Use the Vicon machine to fabricate duct.
Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Company.
