About The Position
HEICO Component Repair Group is seeking a Shop Apprentice for its Miami Repair Station. The Shop Apprentice will receive hands-on training in testing aircraft components and support the shop's component maintenance and repair workflow. This role offers an opportunity to learn the business and potentially advance within the company.
Requirements
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and technical documentation.
- Basic understanding of tools, instruments, and mechanical systems.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work with aircraft components of varying size and weight.
- Ability to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals.
- Ability to handle small components and precision tools.
Responsibilities
- Assist in testing, inspecting, and troubleshooting aircraft components according to FAA and company procedures.
- Learn to operate specialized testing equipment and tools.
- Document test results and maintain accurate records in compliance with FAA regulations.
- Support the maintenance and repair workflow for components.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
