About The Position

Belfort Furniture is hiring a Furniture Repair Technician Apprentice to complete furniture touch-ups and repairs in its Distribution Center and customers’ homes. The role calls for a positive attitude, confidence, professionalism, and a focus on customer satisfaction. Paid training is provided for candidates with limited experience.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in the furniture industry or a similar field.
• Familiarity with wood, upholstery, leather, and vinyl repairs.
• Ability to color match and blend.
• Familiarity with burn-in repairs and wood graining.
• Experience with frame repairs, mechanism replacements, and parts installations.
• Experience operating a spray booth.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to communicate professionally and work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers and the service department about warranty repairs.
• Work with little supervision while meeting company goals.
• Order and maintain shop supplies.
• Report and document all repairs performed.
• Complete furniture touch-ups and repairs in the Distribution Center and customers’ homes.
