About The Position

Scheels is seeking a Part-Time Shoe Merchandiser to join their team. This role involves managing shoe inventory, preparing merchandise for the sales floor, and assisting customers. As an employee-owner, you will contribute to a culture of customer service, teamwork, continuous learning, and integrity. The position requires attention to detail in handling merchandise, maintaining organization, and ensuring inventory accuracy. You will also engage with customers and support the sales team.

Requirements

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present information clearly to customers and team members.
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively across all levers of the organization.
The ability to perform basic calculations.
Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, or general education degree (GED), preferred.
1-3 months of related retail/sales experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

Unload product from freight.
Tag, fold, hang, and price merchandise to be put out on the sales floor or in back stock.
Effectively retrieve shoes from back stocks and transport them to the staging area for sales associates.
Process unpurchased items and customer returns to their correct locations while maintaining an organized work environment to ensure inventory accuracy.
Assist in Men’s, Women’s, and Youth shoe departments as needed.
Proactively engage customers with a warm, welcoming demeanor and offer immediate assistance.
Ensure all necessary technology and devices are prepped and functional prior to the start of each shift.
Partner closely with Specialty Shop Managers to identify and address urgent department needs.
Maintain an orderly appearance with general cleaning and organization around the store and back stock areas.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the leadership team.
