About The Position

Martin Sprocket & Gear is hiring a Shipping/Warehouse Associate to locate, select, verify, pack, and prepare machined products for shipment. The role involves operating powered narrow-aisle pickers, safely handling products, maintaining an orderly work area, and assisting other departments as needed. The position requires daily attendance at the branch and working on site in a non-climate-controlled environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a 6% addition to the hourly wage for second shift.

Requirements

Proficiency in basic math and clear communication.
Ability to read and understand instructions in English and complete simple logs and reports.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and position items up to 50 pounds; assistance is provided for heavier loads.
Reliable attendance and commitment to scheduled hours.
Comfort working while standing in a non-climate-controlled environment for the entire shift.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to determine correct shelf locations based on routing tickets.

Responsibilities

Accurately locate and select products from warehouse shelves or floor locations using labeling or stamping guidelines.
Verify picked and packed items against order requirements.
Pick, pack, box, label, and secure machined products for shipment.
Safely operate powered narrow-aisle pickers to retrieve products from different shelf heights.
Use safe lifting techniques and seek assistance for items over 50 pounds.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow equipment safety protocols.
Collaborate with other departments and assist in different areas as needed.
Report daily to the branch and follow scheduled hours, timekeeping, and company procedures.
